Maggie, a documentary photographer, attends her first Gallery Show in New York with her new fiancee. Struggling to fit into a new world and cast off her old self, she has hidden details of her past. As she discusses her photographs, reminders of her former blue-collar small town life stand in stark opposition to her now glamorous, fast-paced life in New York. The struggle between the two opposing worlds and those she left behind silently weighs on her.Throughout the night the authenticity of her documentary photographs of raw, gritty small town life is heralded. She is greeted with critical acclaim and the possibility of success for the new artist is great. But the surprise arrival of her estranged mother threatens to ruin her newfound fame. It is not only the truth behind the photographs that is threatened to come out, but also the intimate details of the artist herself. Will her past threaten to ruin her future as an artist? Will her deception drive her fiancee away? In one night she will have to face all of this and decide who she really is.
